U2 and Things

Ten years ago, someone named Tyler performed U2's "With or Without You" for a talent show. The heat from his guitar to my face made my glasses fog, but I tossed my tangled curls of hair behind my shoulder and sweat wordlessly next to my peers. I didn't have much substance as a kid.

The original doesn't even come close to that.

Last night, Peter called and asked if I wanted to meet him at Denny's for a cup of coffee or ice-cream. I declined. He did the Peter Thing(tm), which is ask if I'm ok.

I said, "I'm drinking."

He said, "OH, ok then, have a good night."

Good boy.
